Dr. Christoffer Grundman

A church historian who has become a world-reknowned authority on religion and medical ethics was the first speaker in the 2004-2005 season of the McMichael Lecture Series at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. Dr. Christoffer Grundman, John R. Eckric University Professor in Religion and the Healing Arts at Valparasio University, Valparasio, Indiana, spoke on The Healing Ministry of the Churchan Ecumenical Pespective, September 26 in the St. Pauls Parish Hall. Also that Sunday, he spoke and answered questions during the Rectors Forum hour.

A teacher, theologian, medical missionary and Lutheran pastor who has held posts on four continents, Dr. Grundmann is passionately interested in intersection of theology, faith, medicine and genetics. His current scholarly work involves themes such as Hermeneutics of the Body, Genetics, the Brain and the Humanum and Valueshift in Decisionmaking - the Case of Medical Ethics.
