Seeking Community Meals Captains

Community Meals Info Meeting: Thursday, June 24
9:30 am, Parish Hall

We are in need of volunteers for our Community Meals outreach program. More specifically, we are looking for a few people to be our Monday and Wednesday captains.

Captains are responsible for working directly with the Parish Chef, carrying out the pre-planned menus, and overseeing volunteers and substitutes on their scheduled day.

Captains will need to be available on Monday or Wednesday mornings from 9am until at least 11:30. This position also requires some cooking skills, but mostly the ability to work well with a group of cooks. A captain needs to have a working knowledge of the organization in order to field questions from other volunteers and help train new volunteers when necessary. Captains need to be able to work well with others, take instructions, and relay information to their designated Monday/Wednesday teams. This is an opportunity to learn and provide an incredibly needed service for our community.

If you are interested in learning more about the program, please join us in the parish hall on Thursday, June 24, at 9:30am. We will be discussing the future of Community Meals and the roles needed for sustainability.
