The Organ at St. Paul's

On our way to rebuilding our organ!

Organ History

Rebuilding the Organ — Phase I
The vestry has approved the purchase of a new organ console from Nichols & Simpson Organ Company in Little Rock, with one key condition: the funds must be raised, or pledged, before the order can be placed.
The cost of a new state-of-the-art organ console for St. Paul’s is $125,000. As of January 26, 2011, there is about $50,000 in the Organ Fund, so we need to raise another $75,000 in donations and pledges. It will take about a year to build and install a new console after the order is placed. We do not have to disburse the full amount up-front and pledge payments can be spread over the rest of 2011 and into the first part of 2012.
Within five to seven years, the chests under the pipes will need to be replaced. This will be a major future expense. If more funds are raised in Phase I than are needed for the console, they will remain in the Organ Fund to get a head start on future phases of Rebuilding the Organ.
How to help:
Yes, this is an appeal for financial support over and above your regular contributions to support St. Paul’s work in the parish and community. If you or those close to you have been uplifted by our church’s music program, please consider making a special gift, in any amount, to the Organ Fund.  You can:
1. Make a direct contribution.  Write your check payable to St. Paul’s, with “Organ Fund” in the memo area.
2. You may also use your Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card to make a contribution. Contact Suzi Freeman, parish administrator, to make arrangements.
3.  You can pledge and/or pay online through St. Paul’s secure website.  The links are provided below.
Let us know now about your intention to contribute financially to the Organ Fund. You may make a pledge now and pay it partly in 2011 and partly in the first quarter, 2012, if that works better for you.  We do need to have your pledge information as soon as possible so St. Paul’s can place the order with the organ company.
On behalf of all the musician at St. Paul’s, past, present and future, thank you for your support.
