Ragan Sutterfield is a native Arkansan and author of Wendell Berry and the Given Life (Franciscan 2016), This is My Body: From Obesity to Ironman, My Journey into the True Meaning of Flesh, Spirit and Deeper Faith (Convergent/Random House 2015), Cultivating Reality: How the Soil Might Save Us (Cascade 2013), and the small collection of essays Farming as a Spiritual Discipline

His writing has appeared in a variety of magazines including The Christian Century, Sojourners, Men’s Journal, Gourmet, Spin, Paste, and The Oxford American

Ragan holds an M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary, and is ordained in the Episcopal Church. He serves as an associate priest at Christ Church in Little Rock and works to live the good life in partnership with his wife Emily and daughters Lillian and Lucia.
