The Episcopal Church is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, a network of 41 provinces that represents the third-largest Christian communion in the world. The Church of England has just appointed a new Archbishop of Canterbury. What does that mean for us as American Anglicans? In this two-week series, we will explore the history of the Anglican Communion and the modern “Instruments of Communion.”
