Why Give?

We believe that God is the source of all our blessings, including our financial resources. By giving some of our treasure back to God, we support God’s work in the world and commit ourselves to that work.

At St. Paul’s, we hold up the biblical model of the tithe as an invitation to sacrificial, proportional, first-fruits giving. When we commit to giving the first 10% of our income to God, we make God the priority around which the rest of our lives take shape.

If you are new to this model of giving, start wherever you are. Commit to giving a certain percentage of your income to the church, and take steps each year to grow that commitment until you reach or surpass the tithe. As you grow in your giving, you will grow in your faith in God as the giver of all good gifts.
