Caring Friends and Early-Stage Dementia: An Educational Presentation

St. Paul’s is pleased to share an upcoming educational opportunity focused on Caring Friends and early-stage dementia, offered in partnership with the Schmeiding Center and the Alzheimer’s Association. This presentation will explore how dementia affects individuals, families, and communities—and how faith communities can respond with compassion, understanding, and support. Dementia is not a normal part of aging, and learning more can help reduce stigma and foster connection.

The program will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Springdale, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and will include sessions on the impact of dementia in our community, brain health awareness, and resources available for individuals and caregivers. Participants will also hear from a panel of local experts and learn how ministries like Caring Friends walk alongside those living with dementia and those who care for them. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome.

This gathering is especially meaningful for anyone supporting a loved one with memory loss, working in caregiving roles, or seeking ways the church can be a place of welcome and accompaniment. Registration is encouraged, and more information is available through the Alzheimer’s Association. You are not alone in this journey.
