Episcopal Church Women: Food Drive and Fall Gathering
The women of St. Paul’s are part of a vibrant diocesan community of Episcopal Church Women (ECW), and this fall brings two wonderful opportunities to connect and serve.
Throughout the month of September, ECW is sponsoring a food drive to support Cooperative Emergency Outreach (CEO), a local organization that provides rent and utility assistance as well as food for neighbors in need. Nonperishable food donations, including both human and pet food, may be placed in bins located in the narthex and at the bottom of the stairs near the Welcome Center. Financial gifts are also welcome: checks may be made payable to CEO and delivered to the church office or mailed directly to CEO (1649 E. Huntsville Rd., Fayetteville, AR 72702). Every contribution helps make a difference in our community.
In addition, the Northeast Convocation of ECW invites women from across the diocese to gather at St. Paul’s in Newport on October 10–11 for the annual ECW Fall Gathering. This weekend offers fellowship, fun, worship, and the chance to connect with Episcopal women from across Arkansas.
By virtue of attending St. Paul’s, every woman is already a member of ECW, so we hope you will take part in these opportunities to share in service and fellowship. For more details, please contact Susan Burkett (susan. (dot) lee (dot) burkett (at) gmail.com) or Susan Mayes (smayes (at) uark.edu).
