Helping Our Neighbors: Stocking the Little Pantry and Friendly Fridges
At St. Paul’s, we believe that caring for one another begins right here in our own neighborhood. Our “Little Pantry” and two “Friendly Fridges” have become a lifeline for many families who rely on them for help putting food on the table. As food costs rise and SNAP benefits are reduced, more of our neighbors are turning to these community resources for support.
The Little Pantry, located near the east church parking lot and entrance to the Welcome Center, is always open and ready to receive donations of shelf-stable, non-perishable foods—think canned or pouched proteins, pull top canned goods, canned soup, granola bars, pasta, peanut butter, and cereal. Any food that is shelf stable is appreciated. Our Friendly Fridges, found just outside the Welcome Center doors, are stocked with perishable items that need refrigeration such as milk, eggs, cheese, fresh produce, and ready-to-eat meals.
The best part? These resources are available 24/7 for anyone in need—and they’re sustained entirely by the generosity of people like you. Every can of soup, every gallon of milk, and every bunch of bananas makes a difference to someone in our community.
We invite you to join us in helping keep our Little Pantry and Friendly Fridges stocked. When you’re grocery shopping this week, consider picking up a few extra items to share. Together, we can continue to nourish both body and spirit, right here at St. Paul’s.
