An Invitation to the Golden Thread Course

Now accepting applications for the Golden Thread Group 2026-2027

The Golden Thread is a journey of uncovering our authentic spiritual gifts, deepening our spiritual vitality, and preparing to take our gifts into the community. The course content includes spiritual autobiographies and practices, creativity as spiritual practice, reading a series of potentially transformative books, and preparing a rule of life. In John Philip Newell’s book, Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul, he quotes Alexander John Scott: “What is most truly human, he said, is what is most divine and what is most truly divine is what is most human. A thread of the divine is woven through the fabric of the human soul and of everything that has being. This golden thread, he said, is our essence.”

The group is co-led by Karen McClard and Suzanne Stoner and meets on Thursday nights from 6 to 7:30 pm for approximately 36 weeks. All participants are required to attend a full day retreat on Saturday August 23, 2025.
