Justice and Belonging Commission

We are excited to share that the Diocese of Arkansas has officially approved the establishment of a Justice and Belonging Commission—a milestone built on years of grassroots learning, advocacy, and community effort. The commission grew out of the Justice and Belonging Task Force, formed in fall 2024 and chaired by our own Associate Rector Sara Milford, who collaborated with justice advocates from across the diocese and closer to home, including Jim Norys and Allen Carney, also of St. Paul's. Working with Canon Warren Leibovitch, those appointed to the commission will focus in their working groups on truth-telling, formation and training, resource-sharing, coalition-building, best practices, and alignment with The Episcopal Church's resolutions. We're proud to be part of this work and are excited for what's ahead!
