Rummage Sale Supporting a Local Family
St. Paul’s will host a benefit rummage sale on Saturday, May 16, organized by the Friends of the Huenfelds. This sale will support a local family who has opened their home to two teenagers after they were left unhoused when their mother was suddenly deported last fall.
As many know, raising teenagers brings both joy and unexpected expenses. This family is working hard to provide stability, care, and a sense of peace during a difficult transition. The rummage sale offers a tangible way for the wider community to come alongside them with practical support and encouragement.
The Friends of the Huenfelds are currently collecting donated items and are happy to arrange pickup—whether you have a few items or a houseful to share. If you are doing some spring cleaning, this is a wonderful opportunity to pass along gently used goods for a good cause. Please note that donations should not be dropped off at the church. Instead, donors are asked to call or text 773-218-1007 to coordinate pickup directly.
In addition to donated items, baked goods and volunteers are also needed to help make the day a success. Thank you for supporting this effort to care for neighbors in a time of need.
