Trauma-Informed Support and Interventions Class
Sunday, September 13, 2026 • 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. • Parish Hall
How can we respond with compassion and understanding when interacting with neighbors who experience homelessness and may be affected by trauma? Solomon Burchfield will lead a session on trauma-informed support and interventions, offering practical tools for anyone who interacts with people who sleep in and around the church.
Building on presentations Solomon gave this spring for cold-weather shelter volunteers, the session will provide an overview of trauma-informed practices along with opportunities for audience participation and some light role-playing. Come learn more about how trauma can shape people’s experiences and discover ways we can respond with greater understanding, compassion, and care.
All are welcome to attend.
