United Thank Offering Ingathering Coming July 12

Sunday, July 12

Last October, the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) at St. Paul's revived a beloved Episcopal tradition: the United Thank Offering (UTO). Through small blue boxes, Episcopalians around the world practice daily gratitude by setting aside coins or bills as a tangible expression of thanksgiving for God's blessings. Every gift, no matter the amount, begins with a simple prayer of thanks.

On Sunday, July 12, we will celebrate our UTO Ingathering by bringing our blue boxes to church, blessing the offerings, and joining our gratitude with that of Episcopalians everywhere. Funds raised through UTO support ministries that bring hope and healing around the world, including projects that provide clean water, vocational training, health initiatives, and support for migrants, refugees, and others rebuilding their lives.

If you've been filling your blue box since October, thank you for making gratitude a daily practice. If your box has been sitting on a shelf waiting to be used, there is still plenty of time to participate. And if you haven't picked up a box yet, it's not too late to begin.

Blue boxes are available in the Narthex and the Welcome Center. Take one home and spend the next few weeks noticing God's blessings—large and small—and giving thanks in a simple, tangible way. Then bring your box to church on July 12 as we celebrate this meaningful tradition of gratitude and generosity together.
