Caring Friends is a special ministry at St. Paul’s that provides respite and support for caregivers of family members with early-stage dementia. Each Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., participants gather at St. Paul’s for a welcoming time of fellowship, activities, and companionship while their caregivers enjoy some much-needed time away.
We are looking for volunteers to help make these gatherings meaningful and fun! There are many ways to participate, including playing games, helping with arts and crafts or puzzles, sharing conversation, or enjoying music together. A complimentary lunch is provided, and no special experience is needed—just a willingness to spend time with others and share a little kindness.
Volunteers can serve for one to four hours on the Thursdays that fit their schedules. Whether you can help regularly or occasionally, your time and presence can make a real difference for both participants and their caregivers.
