St. Paul’s Cold Weather Shelter Ministry

As temperatures drop each winter, St. Paul’s will be caring for our neighbors through the Cold Weather Shelter Ministry. When the wind chill falls below 32 degrees, the Parish Hall becomes a warm, safe place for overnight guests who need refuge from dangerous conditions. This ministry is one of the most tangible ways we live out our call to love our neighbors as ourselves.

To make this possible, St. Paul’s is seeking adults who feel called to serve as overnight hosts. Volunteers will offer hospitality, simple supervision, and a steady, compassionate presence. Training and support are provided—no prior experience is needed, only a willingness to help and a heart for this ministry.

Shelter nights vary depending on weather conditions, but all take place in the Parish Hall. Whether you can help once or on a recurring basis, your presence will offer warmth, safety, and dignity to those who need it most.

If you would like to learn more or explore whether this ministry might be a good fit for you, please contact Dave McMath or Jim Norys. Your support can make an immediate difference in someone’s life this winter.
