Advent Lessons & Carols

Sunday, December 7
5:30 pm

As we enter this season of hopeful expectation, you’re invited to join us for a beautiful service of Advent Lessons & Carols on Sunday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m. This beloved tradition weaves together Scripture and music to help us prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.

The service begins with the stirring Matin Responsory and the timeless hymn O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, drawing us into the story of God’s promise. Through readings from the prophets and the Gospel, we trace the arc of God’s redeeming love—from creation and covenant to the angel’s announcement to Mary. Each lesson is paired with music offered by our choirs, including Comfort, Comfort Ye My People, Adam Lay Ybounden, O Radiant Dawn, and The Father’s Love.

Whether this service is part of your yearly rhythm or a new experience, we hope you’ll come and let the words and melodies of the season wash over you. Join us as we watch and wait together for the Light that is coming into the world.
